Kit Digital 2026: what grants are still available and how to apply

Kit Digital has been the most direct route for small businesses and self-employed workers to access digital tools with public funding for several years. In 2026 the programme is still active, but with important adjustments worth knowing before applying.

Is Kit Digital still open in 2026?

Yes. The programme, funded with Next Generation EU funds through Red.es, maintains open calls for the smaller size segments. Most vouchers for companies with 10 or more employees were assigned in earlier rounds, but the segments for self-employed workers and micro-enterprises with fewer than 10 employees still have available quota in many autonomous communities.

The voucher amount varies by company size:

  • Segment III (0-2 employees): up to €2,000
  • Segment II (3-9 employees): up to €6,000
  • Segment I (10-49 employees): up to €12,000 (exhausted in most calls)

What digital services does it cover?

The voucher applies to specific solutions, always through an approved Digitalising Agent. The active categories in 2026 include:

  • Website and basic internet presence — ideal for businesses without a website or with an outdated one
  • Social media management — posting and basic analytics
  • Client management (CRM) — software for recording and tracking clients
  • E-commerce — online shop with integrated payment methods
  • Electronic invoicing — digital invoice management and regulatory compliance
  • Basic cybersecurity — antivirus, backups, access controls
  • Secure workstation — devices and software for secure remote work
  • Artificial intelligence — integrating AI into business processes (new category 2025-2026)

Requirements to apply

To be eligible for the voucher:

  1. Be self-employed, a micro-enterprise, or an SME with tax residence in Spain
  2. Be up to date with tax and Social Security obligations
  3. Not have received the same segment voucher previously
  4. Register on the Acelera Pyme portal (acelerapyme.gob.es)

The application process is entirely online. Once the voucher is approved, the business owner chooses one or more approved Digitalising Agents, and payment is processed directly between the administration and the agent.

How long does the process take?

Application and approval of the voucher typically takes between 4 and 8 weeks from the moment the documentation is submitted correctly. Implementation of the service happens afterwards, and there is a 12-month window from signing the agreement to use the voucher.

Common mistakes when applying for Kit Digital

Waiting until the last moment. Each call has a limited budget and is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Businesses that apply in the first months of each call are more likely to receive it.

Choosing the agent on price, not quality. The voucher covers all or part of the service cost, but the result depends on the agent’s work. A poorly built website does not generate clients even if it cost €0.

Not checking the maintenance requirements. Some Kit Digital services require the business to maintain the contract with the agent for at least 12 months. Cancelling early means returning the voucher.

Not applying for multiple categories. The voucher is not for just one solution — it can be split across several categories up to the total assigned amount.
